Why Running Is More Than Just Training for Me

Running has been a part of my life for many years, but for me it has never been only about pace, distance, or performance. It is a space where I reconnect with my body, regulate my nervous system, and process what is happening in my life.

Some days running feels strong and dynamic, other days it is slow and introspective. Both have their place.Through running I’ve learned how to listen more closely to my body, respect fatigue, and recognise when rest is just as important as effort.

As a massage therapist and Kundalini Yoga practitioner, I see running as part of a wider picture of wellbeing. Recovery, awareness and balance are just as important as training itself. Massage, breathwork and mindful movement all support me in staying resilient and injury-free.

This blog will be a place where I share reflections on running, recovery, endurance, and how movement connects to both physical and mental health.
